Sharjah Vehicle Testing Centres: Tasjeel and ADNOC Locations

Sharjah testing options include Tasjeel and inspection-enabled ADNOC sites, with Tasjeel locations in Al Dhaid and Khor Fakkan as well as Sharjah city. Licensing runs through the federal Ministry of Interior (MOI) system. MOI's published fee for a light-vehicle test is AED 150, and a retest is AED 50.

Sharjah testing at a glance

• Licensing system: federal MOI, through the MOI app, website, service centres or self-service machines.
• Test fees: AED 150 for a private light vehicle, AED 100 for a motorcycle and AED 200 for vehicles over 3 tonnes. A retest is AED 50 for any category.
• What MOI asks for at the test: the vehicle ownership (registration) card and ID.
• Renewal: AED 350 for a light vehicle, with 13 months of insurance and all dues paid.
• New cars: exempt from inspection for three years. MOI's renewal service counts from the year of manufacture; its inspection service counts from the date of licensing.

In Sharjah city, compare Tasjeel's Sharjah Auto Village, Abu Shagara and Al Rahmania Mall with ADNOC at Al Taawun and Al Mirqab. Outside the city, Tasjeel's locator names Al Dhaid and Khor Fakkan. At Al Rahmania Mall, the tenant listing places Tasjeel in the basement near Entrance C and Basement Parking C. MOI does not publish an appointment rule for testing, so check the branch's hours and the services it offers before you travel, especially for a motorcycle, heavy vehicle or export test.

How much is a car test in Sharjah?

Is the test cheaper in Sharjah than in Dubai?

Yes, by AED 20. Dubai adds a Knowledge and Innovation fee to the same AED 150 base, making AED 170. Before choosing a centre on price, check that it handles your vehicle's registration and the service you need.

What if the car fails?

Repair the defects on the report and return; MOI lists the retest at AED 50. Ask the centre how long the failed result stands. See retesting after a fail.
