Tasjeel vehicle testing: locations, booking and services

Tasjeel is ENOC's vehicle testing and registration network in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Start with the branch, not just the brand name: a light-car inspection, a truck test and a registration transaction may need different facilities.

Choose a Tasjeel centre by emirate

The operator's centre locator names branches across Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, including Al Dhaid and Khor Fakkan in Sharjah. It lists RAK Auto Village separately from RAK Civil Defence.

Dubai: check Al Barsha, Al Qusais or Hatta. Use the Dubai directory for other areas.
Sharjah city: compare Abu Shagara, Al Rahmania Mall and Sharjah Auto Village.
Central and east-coast Sharjah: see Al Dhaid and Khor Fakkan.
Ras Al Khaimah: see RAK Auto Village and confirm the exact branch before setting off.

At Al Rahmania Mall, the mall's Tasjeel listing places the centre on the basement floor, near Entrance C and Basement Parking C. The mall's shopping hours are not a substitute for inspection-lane hours.

Booking a Tasjeel inspection in Dubai

RTA requires an appointment for technical inspections for registration, renewal and export with plates. Use RTA's vehicle inspection service and choose Start Now, or use the RTA Dubai app. Select the vehicle, inspection type, centre and available slot; keep the confirmation.

RTA lists exceptions for failed-test reinspections, specified sale, data-verification and export-without-plates inspections, and eligible senior or People of Determination vehicles registered in Dubai. Tasjeel Hatta does not require a reservation. See the RTA appointment steps for the full scope.

These are Dubai rules. For a Sharjah or RAK branch, check the operator's admission arrangements and the registration authority's requirements instead of assuming the same booking system applies.

A registration test or a used-car condition check?

Tasjeel advertises a separate Comprehensive Test to assess a used vehicle's condition before buying or selling. That is a different purpose from the technical inspection needed for registration. Ask for the correct report; do not assume one replaces the other.

For renewal, check if your vehicle needs an inspection first. A pass report does not renew the registration by itself: insurance and the registration transaction are separate steps. Our renewal inspection guide explains that sequence.

Check the branch's service before travelling

Give the vehicle class and purpose of the test, particularly for motorcycles, heavy vehicles, trailers or exports.
Check inspection-lane hours and last-vehicle acceptance, not just counter or fuel-station opening.
If you also need ownership transfer, plates or renewal processing, confirm that the branch handles that transaction.
For a retest, keep the failed report and check the return deadline, eligible centre and fee.

Common Tasjeel questions

Can every Tasjeel centre test a heavy vehicle?

No. Choose a branch that explicitly accepts your vehicle class. In Dubai, RTA's inspection page lists available tests by centre.

Can I renew a Sharjah registration at a Dubai branch?

Check report acceptance and the renewal route with the authority responsible for your registration before booking. The Tasjeel name alone does not establish cross-emirate acceptance.

Is the Comprehensive Test the renewal inspection?

No. It is advertised as a used-vehicle condition assessment. Tell the centre if you need the technical test for registration instead.
